Sinotech and ZTHI Signed a Framework Agreement on Marine Carbon Capture System Equipment Manufacturing Cooperation
Recently, Sinotech and ZTHI officially signed a cooperation framework agreement for marine carbon capture system equipment manufacturing.
Mr.William Kang, Deputy General Manager of ZTHI, emphasized the significance of marine CCS and the collaboration between the two companies. The latest Carbon emission reduction strategy from the International Maritime Organization demands continuous increase of ship emission reduction effort, therefore, carbon capture technology holds immense potential as an ultimate carbon reduction technology to retrofit existing vessel market. Sinotech as a leader in China clean energy solutions, and ZTHI, a well-known company in China's ship repair industry, will leverage their respective strengths through this collaboration, uphold technological innovation, and promote low-carbon and high-quality development.
General Manager of ZTHI, Mr. Weiwen Fu, expressed that this collaboration will drive the transformation of a low-carbon economy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and jointly exploring the market. Both parties will explore cooperation between research institutions and enterprises, accelerate the transformation of innovative achievements, and contribute to the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in Zhoushan. The collaboration is expected to be long-term and mutually beneficial, achieving complementary advantages and promoting sustainable development.
Ms.Janie Wei from Sinotech stated that this cooperation represents a shared commitment and responsibility to promote the development and application of CCS, contributing to environmental protection and sustainable development.
Finally, Vice President of Sinotech CCS, Mr. Phil Gao, delivered a speech on relevant regulations and industry outlook related to CCS/CII.
